I have lived in Battle Ground since 2009. I chose dentistry for my career because I want to make a difference in people’s lives, building their self-confidence. Let that smile show! Sharing a huge contagious smile with a patient is always an amazing feeling. I’m the first person the patient sees when they enter the treatment room, and it is my goal to put them at ease and to reassure them. I listen to people’s concerns, wants and needs and work with Dr. Low to ensure these are met. As a team, everyone here at Above & Beyond works really well together. We laugh and have fun throughout the day and work hard to make our patients feel at home. Also, I love getting to know patients and their families, especially because I live in town. In my free time, I love being with my family. Our daughter keeps us on our toes and my husband Jeff helps to coach her softball and basketball teams. Perhaps my strangest talent is being able to sing the alphabet backward!
I grew up in Milwaukie, Oregon and I currently live in Vancouver, Washington. After graduating from high school, I was lucky enough to receive all my training, hands on from Dr. Low! It is my dream job because I love to meet new people and I love helping them build their dream smiles. Of course, it helps that I work with such a great group of people, including my mom Lisa who is at the front desk. Outside of dentistry, I love spending time with friends and family, and I have two sisters, a niece and nephew to dote on, with another niece on the way. I like to relax by painting, spend time with my family and caring for my two dogs Harley & Henni. I love to travel in my spare time, I would love to one day ride an elephant in Thailand and swim in the blue green water of the Maldives, or anywhere warm with sea turtles.
Kathy is a dedicated dental hygienist who graduated from Clark College’s Dental Hygiene Program in 2012 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Eastern Washington University in 2014. She has always been passionate about working in a field that helps others and found her calling in dentistry, where she can make a real difference in people’s lives.
Kathy deeply values the opportunity to learn something new every day while working alongside Dr. Low. She has immense appreciation and respect for his exceptional ability to connect with patients, communicate effectively, and provide high-quality dentistry with unmatched dedication. His commitment to patient care is unlike any she has experienced, inspiring her to grow continually in her profession. As part of a hardworking and passionate team, Kathy takes pride in helping patients achieve and maintain their oral health while creating beautiful, healthy smiles. She believes in making dental visits not only effective but also enjoyable, with fun, laughter, and camaraderie always present in the office.
Kathy has lived in Vancouver most of her life and has an endless list of places she dreams of traveling to. Her happy place is anywhere near the water—whether she’s on it, in it, or simply enjoying the view. She’s always exploring new creative hobbies like knitting, felting, and soap-making, and she loves getting lost in audiobooks while crafting or relaxing.
Maria is a graduate of Clark College Dental Hygiene Program and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2001. She was drawn to a career in dentistry because she loves interacting with and helping others. Dentistry, specifically, allows her to help others achieve healthy and confident smiles, which has personally had a big impact on every aspect of her own daily life.
Maria has tons of experience in clinical dentistry and a growing expertise in creating patient connections. After years of practicing, she has recently begun sharing tips and tricks with other hygienist's in an educational capacity! She has been part of the Above & Beyond Dental Team since the beginning and loves her colleagues! "We know how to care for our patients AND each other...maybe most importantly, we know how to laugh!"
Maria loves to paddleboard, garden, cook, and sing Her main source of entertainment is provided by her black and white kitty duo, Suki and Fitz.
A Vancouver native, Lauryn is thrilled to embark on her dental hygiene career at Above and Beyond Dentistry. A recent graduate from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Lauryn is passionate about improving oral health bringing smiles to our community. She is excited to learn and grow alongside a highly experienced team of professionals who share her dedication to patient care. Beyond her dental pursuits, Lauryn loves a good book and cherishes quality time with her beloved dog and her best friend, who happens to be her sister.
Born and raised in sunny Carlsbad, California, I’ve been passionate about dentistry since graduating from dental assisting school in 2013 — I’m a total dental nerd at heart! In 2017, I traded in my surfboard for a pair of muck boots and headed to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. That same year, I met my husband, Travis, a Long Beach, Washington local, and together we eventually settled in Battle Ground to start our family.
We became proud cat parents to our quirky kitty, Chicken, and in 2024 welcomed our sweet baby boy, Bradley. When we’re not working, you’ll find us soaking up every bit of sunshine, spending time with our friends (who are truly like family), or heading back to the coast — our happy place.
I’m so grateful to have found an office that supports my passion for dentistry and all the wonderfully nerdy details that come with it. Cheers to creating healthy, happy smiles!

Going to the dentist is rarely something you look forward to, however Dr. Low and his team do a fantastic job of making sure it's not something you have to dread. Over five years of service, I've received root canals, fillings, crowns, deep root scaling - you name it; and not only has all of the work held strong, the experience was the best I've had anywhere. The staff treats you like family, and they're always friendly, personable, and concerned for your comfort. Hard to imagine there's anywhere better in Clark County
I've being going to Above & Beyond for many years now and continue to get amazing service. The recepetionists, hygienists, and Dr. Low are professional and very friendly. They explain questions or concerns thoroughly and I have never felt pressured when making decisions.
Amazing team who really keep my personal goals of quality care in prolonging the life of my teeth and setting attainable goals to get them back to great health. They paid close attention to my hopes of keeping it affordable since I’m a single mom of one, my teeth have been the last of my priorities for the last three years due to finances.
